Lester Edward Smith Sr.
Private services will be held for Lester Edward Smith Sr. of Philo who passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Ukiah with his family by his side.
Born April 6, 1919 in Eureka, Montana, Lester served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a tree faller for over 40 years. Lester was an avid fisherman, had a pilot’s license and was an Anderson Valley Legend.
He is survived by his wife Mary Smith of Philo, daughters Trudy Smith of Philo and Judy Friend of Kelso, Washington, sons Lester Edward Smith Jr. of Philo and Donald Smith of Montana, sister Sally of Salt Lake City, Utah, grandchildren Yolanda Rodriguez and Carla Ramirez, great grandchildren Jesus, Christian and Shellie Ramirez, Kimberly and Jorge Rodriguez.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
