Obituary:
Bob Stephens died on Father’s Day, June 18, 2017 defying great odds to live 72 wonderful and memorable years.
Born on June 9, 1945 in Ohio, Charles Robert Stephens moved to Potter Valley in 1978 with his second wife, Jeannie, and his twin 8-year old sons, Doug and Alan. Together they built a wonderful home and life in Potter Valley. Bob was a very hard working man and wore many hats – most notably hotel stationary engineer, business owner, vineyard manager, and carpenter.
He was a very loving father; grandfather, brother, uncle and husband. He leaves behind his wife Jeannie, his children Robert Stephens (Jacqueline), Elaine Ramirez (Robert), Teresa Ferrer (Mike) and Rick Ferrer, five adored grandchildren Armand, Seth, Ryan, Jordan and Maci, his daughter-in-law Tanya Stephens, and his brother Jerry Stephens (Luigina), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was a generous, warm hearted and sociable man, and will be missed by all his family and many friends. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, July 22 from 5pm to sunset at the Potter Valley Rodeo grounds – where, incidentally, he tended grapes for over 25 years.
