Margaret “Meg” Pacini Strzelecki
With much courage and grace, Meg passed away peacefully at her Ukiah Home on March 1, 2011 while surrounded by family and close friends. Born December 22, 1949, Meg was a native of Ukiah who attended St. Mary’s School, graduated from Ukiah High School and lived her whole life in her hometown. She was a devoted wife to husband, John, and a loving mother to on, Seb. Her generous and loving nature created a strong bond with her family and helped her develop many special friends. Meg was always ready to offer an opinion or advice, had a wonderful sense of humor, always had some amusing story to share, and her chuckle just made everyone around her smile. She preformed various administrative and customer service jobs and she very much enjoyed meeting and helping others people. She was a longtime member of the Yokayo Pool and Racquet Club and in the past had been active on the club board. Meg also found great pleasure in gardening in her backyard and she loved animals, especially her cats.
Meg was predeceased by her husband of nearly 28 years, John Strzelecki, on January 2, 2009, and by her parents, Nettie and Vernon Pacini. She is survived by her son, Seb Strzelecki, and his fiancée, Amanda Nichols, both of Ukiah, her brother and sister-in-law, Alec and Cathy Pacini, of Ukiah, her sister-in-law, Maria Strzelecki White, of Henderson, Nevada, nephews Nick and Tyler Pacini, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Eversole Mortuary to honor both Meg and John. This will be followed by a gathering to celebrate their lives at the Saturday Afternoon Club on South Oak Street. The family truly appreciates the loving care given to Meg in her final days and, in lieu of flowers, suggests that memorial donations be made to the Ukiah Valley Medical Center, 275 Hospital Drive, Ukiah, CA. 95482 or Phoenix Hospice, 100 San Hedrin Circle, Willits, CA. 95490. Arrangements and care are under the direction of Eversole Mortuary.
