Obituary:
Carol Jean Tade, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on May 3rd, 2013 in Ukiah, CA.
Carol was the first of seven children born to Lee and Minnie Tade in Chicago, IL on September 7, 1937. She lived there until her graduation from Fenger High School in 1955 when her family moved to San Diego, CA. Carol married and started her family, which would eventually grow to five children, but she tragically lost both of her husbands to terminal health conditions. In tragedy and good times, her strength and commitment to God and family were evident throughout her life.
Carol was a devoted mother and a homemaker until she decided to enter the workforce where she first worked selling ladies foundation garments with Figurettes. She then moved to the medical field where she found her passion. First working for Dr. Story in San Diego, then Dr. Bloom in Santee, she expertly managed the financial side of the business so her doctors could focus on patient care. She later moved on to Grossmont OB/GYN in La Mesa, and then retired to Bend, OR where she worked at Central Oregon Pediatrics.
She is survived by her daughter Robbin Andersen and her husband Jim in Ukiah, CA and her son Aaron McDaniel and wife Cindy in San Diego, CA, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-children as well as many nieces and nephews. Her six living siblings include Bud Tade and wife Cheryl of Grass Valley, CA, Jack Tade and wife Clairon of San Diego, CA, Robert Tade and wife Cheryl of Santee, CA, Sharon McDaniel and husband Bob of Olalla, WA, Sara Jean Simmons and her husband Dan of Olalla, WA, baby brother Lance Tade and his wife Jaime of Alamogordo, NM, and, finally, her many fish and dog Mr. Wilson.
Her family is comforted that she will be joining the following loved ones in heaven, her parents Lee and Minnie Tade, her first husband David Erwin, and second husband David McDaniel, and three of her children, Terry Gillespie, David Erwin and Kevin Irick.
Her family will have a private memorial of tea and lemon meringue pie to help keep her in our hearts and memories. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to www.PrisonFellowship.org.
