Timothy Ryan Walsh

Timothy Ryan Walsh, born November 29, 1948 to Cleo and Edward Walsh in Ukiah, California passed away on March 28, 2023 in Ukiah, with his son Robert, by his side. 

Tim grew up in Ukiah, surrounded by a big family, he grew up hunting, fishing, and spending a lot of time in the mountains from Ukiah to Navarro Ridge at the coast. He worked at Ford Gravel in Ukiah, with his father when he was young. He graduated from Ukiah High School in 1966. He joined the United States Air Force in 1967, served abroad in Germany, where he developed skills in heating and cooling. He married his first wife, mother of his children, Jessie Gerber in 1970. Tim and Jessie had four children that they raised in Missouri, Minnesota, Nevada, and California. He owned Northern Disposal in Ukiah with friend, Byron Hohnstein. He worked in refrigeration in Reno, Nevada. He built two homes, one in Nevada and one in California. He started his own parking lot maintenance business Sweep and Vac Services in Truckee, California. He was a baseball, basketball and soccer coach to youth in Washoe Valley, Nevada and Truckee, California. He was a member of the Truckee Optimists Club. He returned to Ukiah in 1985 and purchased Ukiah Schwinn, where he worked until he retired in 2012.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Edward Walsh, mother Cleo Walsh, and sister Wanda Henderson.

Tim is survived by his sister, Susan (Gary) Olson, brother, Kirby (Sue) Walsh, first wife, Jessie Walsh, daughter, Carrie Lewis (Todd), granddaughter, Valerie (Sam) Stump, daughter, Kristin Birch, granddaughters, Cleo and Clara Birch, son, Robert Walsh, son, Nicholas Walsh, numerous relations and friends.

A celebration of life for Tim, will take place in the Todd Grove Rec
Room at the Ukiah Municipal Golf Course on Monday, April 24, from 1 pm -
4 pm.
