Thomas Melvin Daniel Tipton
Tom “the barber” born June 27, 1940 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, lost his fight against cancer August 26 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jan, children; Lori (David) Poma, Kim Andrews, Keith (Dorothy) Bowers, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Tom moved to Mendocino County over 45 years ago. He owned Tom’s barber shop; he loved his work and his customers. He was a member of the Cannibal Feed of Ukiah.
Tom was an incredible joke and story teller; he loved to make his family and friends laugh. He was always ready to play games. He enjoyed going with his best friend, Mike Glenn, to Mike’s ranch.
Please join us in celebrating Tom’s life on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm, at the Ukiah Junior Academy gym, located at 180 Stipp Ln, Ukiah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s name to UVMC for the new ER Dept.
Tom was an amazing person who will be greatly missed!
