Obituary:
Frieda Anna (Brumund) Todd died peacefully at her home in Geyserville on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Frieda was born in French Camp, California, on March 19, 1925 to German and Austrian immigrants, Henry and Marie (Moschitz) Brumund. In 1932, Frieda moved with her parents to San Jose where she later eventually met and married Richard Halley Todd, a chicken and prune farmer then of Los Gatos. In 1955 they moved to what became the family ranch in Geyserville, where they raised prunes, pears, grapes and four children. Frieda was an avid reader who lived to play cards, bake and spend time with her family.
Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 2000, as well as her brother, Albert John Brumund, in 2010. She is survived by another brother, Herman, her sons, Tom, Ken (Kathe), Tim (Shawna) Todd and daughter, Jane Koring (Mike). Frieda enjoyed watching her six grandchildren, Bryan (Jodi), Stacey, Taylor, and Halley Todd, Kathleen Koring and Heather Pichel (Alex) grow up. She also has four great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Shelby and Rylie Todd and Sierra Szupello.
There will be a memorial service at Grace Lutheran Church in Cloverdale on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10 oclock in the morning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Friedas name to the Geyserville Volunteer Fire Department or a library of your choice. Per her wishes, Friedas final resting place will be in the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah at a private ceremony.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
