Obituary:
Mildred “Sue” Tripp, 89, of Ukiah, passed away with family present on January 7, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Tripp whom she was married to for 28 years. Born in Seattle, WA in 1926, she was the daughter of James W. and Blanche T. Allen. Soon after she received her diploma, she married Fred and lived as a Navy wife, moving every few years, until he retired and they moved to Ukiah around 1958. Three years later they adopted their daughter Patricia. Fred was employed by Masonite until his death in 1973. Mildred continued to work as a Dental Receptionist then later as a bookkeeper for Summer’s Mobile Home and Towing and finally for the majority of years at Fullerton Equipment until she retired. Her hobbies included gardening and she loved to bowl. Sue will be remembered for her sense of humor and the tremendous love she had for her family and people dear to her. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Steel and husband Troy of Ukiah, grandson Clifford Yaple, Taylor Steel and Jacob Steel of Ukiah, Cierra Hernandez and husband Enrique of Willits, great grandchildren Aubrey Bloom-Yaple and Abel Hernandez, sister Marilyn Saccone, niece and nephew Denise and Dennis Gardemeyer all of El Dorado Hills and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary.
