Obituary:
Theresa Terry Marie Van Antwerp passed away February 11, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Theresa had touched throughout her very memorable life.
Theresa was born to Richard and Gertrude Brennan on December 4, 1955 in Ukiah. She graduated from Ukiah High School with the Class of 1973. She began her career at Ukiah Rexall Drug working alongside her mother. She advanced her career through the banking industry in Northern California as a personal banker and commercial loan officer with Westamerica Bank.
Theresa and her husband Harry Van Antwerp established Vans Auto Clinic in 1980 and continued to work together to serve the community supporting Ducks Unlimited. Theresa and Harry have a very special niece who touched their hearts and energetically supported her cause through Special Olympics. They also supported Relay for Life honoring Vicki and Curtie Norgard, other dear family members and friends.
Theresas quick wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all she loved. She is survived by her husband Harry of 34 years, her mother Gertrude, siblings, family and spouses: Mike Brennan, Patti and Houie Speer, Tim and Julie Brennan, Tim Norgard, Eddie and Peggy Van Antwerp, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a God daughter all of whom Auntie Bacaruda held closely to her heart.
The family would like to thank Theresas dear friends for their support during her time of need: Julie Martin, Debbie and Brent Christensen, Larcye Wright, Julie McCarty, Elisa Sanchez, Kat Wilburn, and those of you who offered support, kind words and prayers. A special thanks to the staff at Ukiah Valley Medical Center for their professional, gentle and thoughtful care of our loved one.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Resource Center of Ukiah or a charity of your choice.
Notice of a gathering celebrating Theresas life will be published at a later date.
