Obituary:
Gary L. Venturi passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on January 21, 2015. Gary was born in Ukiah, CA on June 30, 1948 and went all through Ukiah Schools graduating with the class of 1966. He worked as an Inn Keeper in Calistoga, CA for almost 25 years and held various other positions throughout his life. Less than 10 years ago, Gary moved back to his hometown of Ukiah to enjoy his retirement and be close to family.
Gary was a very loyal friend; he was also a very loving and caring Son and Uncle. It has been said he never met a person who didn’t end up being his friend. Gary was also a very generous man, always willing to offer help to those in need. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd John Venturi; his sister, Cyndie Lou Venturi; and his nephew, Eli Lloyd Van Voorhis. Gary is survived by his mother, Alfreida Silver, and his nephew, Jesse Van Voorhis, both of Ukiah, CA.
Gary’s family is supporting his wish for no formal services to be held. Please send any memorial donations to your favorite charity.
