Hulda Wenglein Weger
At her request no services will be held for Hulda Wenglein Weger of Ukiah, who passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 with her family at her side. She was 99.
Born October 23, 1910, Hulda graduated from Humboldt State Teachers College in Arcata, was a school teacher and worked at the family business known as Orr Springs Resort during the summer months. She was very proud of the accomplishments of the many students that she taught and the scholarship she established for Mendocino College. She was a member of the Kingsley Augusta Chapter of Eastern Star and the California Retired Teachers Association.
Hulda was a strong woman with a fantastic memory. She knew just about everyone in town as well as their family lineage. She was proud of her many years of teaching the students of Ukiah. She loved to travel and adventure when she was young. She was a caring and supportive mother and grandmother.
Hulda is survived by her son George Weger of Sebastopol, sisters Alice Wenglein Southerland of Uvalda, Texas and Patricia Wenglein Goudge of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren Don, Jill, Wendy Weger all of Sebastopol, Dionne Peterson of Crescent City and Kristen Weger Brock of Covina and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lena Wenglein, her husband of 51 years Alfred Weger in September 1991, her brother George Herman Wenglein and by her sisters Rhea Lathrop, Martha Wenglein and Georgia Luby.
