Obituary:
Imelda “Mel” Wehrmann passed away peacefully on February 1, 2014 at the age of 93 of natural causes. She was born and raised in New Albany, IN and lived in Ukiah since 1946. She worked for Mendocino State Hospital and Mendocino County Social Services. She is survived by her children and their spouses Sue and Bill Lange, Fran and Steve Wehrmann, Bonnie and Art Wehrmann; her sister-in-law Betty Jackson, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be at St. Mary’s of the Angels Church in Ukiah on Thursday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. Reception following at the church hall. At Mel’s request, please do not wear black but come in colors to celebrate Mel’s life. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to St. Mary’s Building Fund, 900 S. Oak St. Ukiah or Plowshares, 1346 S. State St. Ukiah. Rest in Peace, Mel.
