E. Idell Wipf

Idell was born June 16, 1916 in Chandler, Arizona. Idell joined her husband Ernie on February 2, 2014.
Idell was a loving wife, mother and friend to everyone. She loved creating things. She was a master at knitting, crochet, seamstress and ceramics. She cherished the relationships she developed during her time as owner and operator of Esther’s Dress Shoppe. She traveled extensively with her husband Ernie, often accompanied by her siblings.
She was a positive, encouraging uplifting influence on all those whose lives she touched. She will always be remembered for her loving smile and kind heart.
She is survived by her son Ernest Mark, wife Eileen and their children Theadora and Michaelyn Wipf. Granddaughters Julie, husband Joe and children Conner, Ryan, Kaili and Liya Golden. Jill Mattern and Deanne Hammons. Grandson John, wife Inger and children Tucker, Leif and Shane Mattern. Son in law Richard Mattern, sister Caroline Zeeb, and sister in law Zeta Wipf. Numerous nieces and nephews, great friend Juanita Young.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Wipf, children Robert Hammons and Donna Mattern. Siblings Alice, Ezra, Ada, Alma, Laura, Betty and Reed.
The family thanks the wonderful women that have provided the loving care of Idell. Donations to Phoenix Hospice can be made in lieu of flowers.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1337 S. Dora St. at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Graveside at Potter Valley Cemetery, and a reception will follow burial at the church.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
