Obituary:
It is with sadness and love that the family of Juanita M. (Cochran) Young announce her peaceful passing at the age of 85 on June 25th, 2021.
Born on Valentines Day, 1936, Juanita was the youngest child and only girl born to Charles and Julia Cochran. Juanita was born and raised in Fair Oaks, CA and traveled all over the country, but she spent most of her adult life in Ukiah and always considered it home.
Juanita was known by friends and family as having a wicked sense of humor and a generous heart. She was loved by all and will be missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Young of Sacramento, daughter in law, Michele Young of Ukiah; grandsons Ryan Young & Joel Young of Ukiah; great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Drake, McKaylie & Willow Moon Young of Ukiah and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her companion of many years, Phil (Dan) Jamison of Ukiah, Alex Young of Sacramento; son John Young of Ukiah; grandson Matthew Young, also of Ukiah; and her brothers Glenn Cochran of Santa Rosa, CA., Lester Cochran of Penryn, CA., Harold Cochran of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Clarion Cochran of Aztec, New Mexico.
Like many blended families today, Juanita impacted the lives of so many family members near and far, including daughters Stephanie Uzundede and family of Kansas City, MO; Lorri (Jim) Stanislav and family of Weston, MO; and family of Lisa Ribordy of Roseville, CA.
The family of Juanita will celebrate her life privately at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local animal rescue organization would be something near and dear to her heart.
The family would especially like to thank Jamie Lynn of Hospice of Ukiah and the wonderful staff of Victoria Care Home for their care and support these past weeks.
