Delila V. Yttreness
Graveside services for Delila V. Yttreness of Ukiah will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ukiah Cemetery. Pastor Keith Miller of the Grace Lutheran Church presiding. Delila passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Holy Child Care Home.
Born December 15, 1921 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, she has resided in the Ukiah area for the last 68 years. Delila was a student of life, she worked as an escrow officer and was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a past member of Soroptimist of Ukiah, Member of Beta Sigma Phi for 60 years, Lady Lutheran’s and Ukiah Senior Center. She was charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Delila enjoyed family campouts and travel trailer adventures with her late husband Dale. She also organized trips through the Senior Center. She would often say, “I don’t see a cop. Do you?” and “This is Mother “Y”.”
Delila is survived by her daughter Lynelle Jackson and husband Scott of Chico, son Monte Yttreness and wife Jeanne of Ukiah, grandchildren Corey Burgess, Scott Hansen, Michelle Hansen and great grandchildren Benny and Emma Hansen Stier and Isa Hansen. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 1988, her parents Otto and Marie Krueger and by brothers Arville and Lynus Krueger.
Memorial contributions to Hospice of Ukiah and Alzheimer’s Resource Educational Center are preferred.
